Rumors about the new iMac was again true, those from Apple tonight presenting a product design changed quite a lot. The new iMac is 80% thinner than the previous model, is only 5 mm and those from Apple praise from all points of view. To reduce the thickness, those from Apple laminated the Apple screen front panel, its thickness decreased and now the whole screen is 45% thinner. To get everything they wanted, the people at Apple have dropped their optical drive, so you will not have this in the iMac.

Sit down in front of the new iMac and something incredible happens: The world around you seems to disappear, and you lose yourself in the big, beautiful display. To create an experience this immersive, we pushed every limit, rethought every detail, and advanced iMac in the most astonishing ways. The first iMac was a revolution: An all-in-one computer that put everything — display, processor, graphics, storage, memory, and more — inside one simple, stylish enclosure. Countless innovations later, we’ve raised the bar yet again.

The new iMac screen displays clear images, reflections are reduced by 75% and all thanks to a technology called plasma deposition. The interesting part is that each screen is calibrated manually, it offers very good quality for watching any kind of content. iMac comes with FaceTime HD camera, two microphones and a sound system apparently better than the previous version, with a 40% lower volume. In terms of internal structure, Apple says that we have Intel Ivy Bridge i5/i7 processors, Nvidia Kepler graphics cards are up to 768 GB of flash storage and hard drives of 3 TB and up to 32 GB RAM. If we talk about storage capacity, Apple says it uses the same Fusion Drive system, a new technology that provides flash storage and 128 GB HDD of 1/3 TB, is offering users better speeds of read/write, everything is designed for OS X.

The standard version of the iMac with 21.5 inch monitor costs $1,300, and the standard version with 27-inch screen has a starting price of $1,799, the first version will be available in November and the second in December.
