During the presentation Apple talked about the hardware configuration of iPhone 5C vs iPhone 5, but there are differences, let’s see them.

Although in theory the plastic iPhone 5C and iPhone 5 are similar, at a glance on their specifications we can clearly see that the number is equal to the similar characteristics of the elements that make the difference.

The transition from glass or polycarbonate plastic and aluminum could not come without other compromises. For this reason, the new iPhone is thicker and heavier than the previous generation. Has 132 grams instead of 112 grams and in the thickest point is 8.97 mm instead of 7.6 mm. The good, seems to be very large variety of colors that we can buy the new device. It is white, blue, green, yellow and pink. In addition, we have a larger battery and a much better front camera for FaceTime and portraits. At minus iPhone 5C cannot be purchased with 64 GB of internal memory.

Identical features of iPhone 5 vs iPhone 5C include the same A6 processor and the same 4-inch IPS LCD panel with a resolution of 1136 x 640 and a pixel density equal to 326 ppi. The main camera is 8 megapixel still and connectors include a Bluetooth 4.0 module, Dual-band WiFi and support for 4G LTE networks.

I still wonder if Apple launched the new iPhone 5C because they could not decrease production costs sufficiently to iPhone 5. Not the other, but so far, the iPhone launched the year before could be bought exactly the price as the new 5C.
