Facebook Camera App for iOS Device

One of the things that Facebook has done during its IPO time was to acquire a few companies. Instagram was one of those and it is only natural that a company develops a business that it has purchased. Facebook however, doesn’t seem to be doing all that because instead of building a mobile photo application based on Instagram, it has decided to create one instead. Thus, the Facebook Camera comes into being.

Facebook Camera was released just weeks after the acquisition of Instagram. Once opened, it automatically detects the Facebook account in your phone and then you will be presented with photos that are in your stream. Suffice to say that Facebook Camera is only for photos and nothing more. You can edit the photos using a few presets and filters available and then batch upload them to your account.

Suffice to say that if you want the best application to upload photos to your Facebook account, then Facebook Camera is the one for you. It is quite limited but for what it’s worth, the application is a good one. As of date, this app is available only for iOS devices and there is no telling whether there will be an Android or a Windows Phone 7 version of it in the future.
