App Update: Evernote 1.3
Evernote just got a bump up to version 1.3 and great keeps getting... greater-er!!
In addition to bug fixes and numerous UI improvements, Version 1.3 adds the ability to-
--Find notes created near your current location
--Email your notes to friends and family (YEAH!!!!)
--Securely decrypt notes and read them on your iPhone
--Check and uncheck to-do list items
--have clickable URLs and email addresses
I've already downloaded and installed it and there is no question that it is much faster than before. And the ability to email notes... awesome!
I/We LOVE Evernote and with each update are infatuated all over again.
Now we're hoping that version 1.4 brings... resident notes!!!!

I have gotten some good use out of Evernote, and overall, I think it is a useful tool. However, I am still concerned about their poor RTF support on the iPhone, web, and Mac clients. The biggest thing I do in Evernote is create notes in outline format (everything, to me, is best explained in an outline). However, there is a common problem among all the clients I mentioned above that causes extra bullets to appear where they shouldn't be. It drives me nuts! Especially when I am trying to hold a meeting from the detailed agenda I have in Evernote on my iPhone. Second, I don't understand why I can't do some simple RTF editing on the iPhone. Because I always create outlines in my notes, I basically can't edit any of my notes on my iPhone. It was nice that they gave us text editing capabilities, bu that really doesn't help me that much.
Yeah- the limited editing is ticking me off. I LOVE Evernote and am finding it increasingly indispensible but only a fraction of y notes can be edited. Until that and the lack of resident notes changes I will remain "Really Good" but not "Great" IMO.
