Jott and reQall- An Unscientific Comparison
Jott and reQall are both powerful tools in their own right. While each offers slightly different functionality, the bread and butter of both is found in their transcription ability. Now that each offers a resident application the comparisons are inevitable so... I'm going to compare the two.
In anticipation of an upcoming full review of both I did a couple of quick, unscientific, tests. The main things I wanted to see were (a) transcription accuracy and (b) speed of turnaround time.
I used the following statement as the first test--
This is a first attempt at two of us doing a quick comparison of the transcription accuracy of JOTT and REQALL.
Actual transcriptions from the two--

For the second test I used the first paragraph of this post-

My unscientific results? reQall came out on top but both took far too long to return the text once the message was left.
Also- I find it nice that both times reQall accurately rendered Jott's name. Jott, apparently, didn't want to return the favor!

For those of us based outside North America, reQall is the only choice as Jott isn't available.

I was glad to find your comparisons, and I look forward to your upcoming full review. While it's not my intent to counter your assessment, so far, I do think it's worth noting (and is disappointing) that ReQall incorrectly transcribed your sentence as containing the word "there" instead of "their." That said, I'm still leaning away from Jott and toward ReQall.
I've done my reviews on both and I ended up where you are- I'm back using Jott. For me it is largely the simplicity and speed that keeps me Jotting. Bottom line though is that both are pretty amazing IMO.Here are the links-JottreQall
