There comes an age where every kid develops an innate and insatiable thirst for knowledge. Often, this starts with their own bodies. Unfortunately, typical anatomy charts don’t quite cut it because they’re either overly complex or they don’t do any good explaining anything to the kids.

This is where you introduce them to The Human Body by Tinybop.

I must admit that I learned a thing or two that I honestly never did know about the human body. Essentially a virtually rendered and simplistic interactive x-ray of the human body, the app lets users learn more about the functions of various body parts. Take for example the digestive system. Kids are shown a scaled diagram of the digestive system and they are able to representative icons symbolizing food to simulate how the body handles the digestion process. Such interactivity does wonders for the education of our children.

Users can also magnify and find out more about specific body parts, learning about things such as the intricate functions of the brain. Another interesting aspect I liked was how The Human Body by Tinybop made used of device hardware to showcase certain human features, such as using the camera to demonstrate vision for example.

Priced at $2.99, The Human Body by Tinybop would probably cost the same as if parents decided to get individual anatomy charts of the various bodily systems. However, the advantage with the app lies in the fact that not only is it portable, it is also interactive. It’s safe to say that this is definitely the advantageous choice for me.

Quick Take

Value:High

Would I Buy Again:Yes

Learning Curve:NA

Who Is It For:Children and adults with a desire to learn

What I Like:Interactivity is always good

What I Don't Like:Why an in-app puchase for the urogenital system is required when it's already a paid app

Final Statement:This comes in handy for handling the curiosity of the kids.
