A very informative and detailed guide to the American national parks, National Parks by National Geographic is good for those who want to plan trips to these magnificent works of nature and need to do some background research on the locations before visiting them. All of this is completely free.

In terms of layout, National Parks does a great job in positioning information. In accordance to the saying a picture speaks a thousand words, the app is peppered with breathtaking photos of the awesome scenery present at the parks.

With neatly arranged tabs to tap on or swipe across, National Parks makes the browsing experience a very good one. The color scheme is soft on the eyes, making things extremely easy to read.

National Parks by National Geographic arranges the various national parks in a grid style format, where tapping on one brings up a plethora of information ranging from scenery photos to recommended camping spots for these particular places. Indeed, this is one app that is worth the download as it provides much required information to pre-plan trips to the nature reserves.
