This game tests your reaction skills, requiring fast movements and coordination speeds to beat the game. NewtonApples has players tapping on falling apples descending from the top of the screen to literally pop them before the reach the ground, or more importantly, before they touch Sir Issac Newton himself.

Sounds easy? Not quite.

The sheer amount of apples falling from the ‘sky’ is more than enough to overwhelm players. The game ends when an apple touches Sir Issac Newton. However, should an apple touch the ground instead of a slumbering Newton, the man himself will wake and start pacing up and down for a period of time before going back to sleep. This adds to the difficulty level of the game given that should an apple touch him, the game is over.

I liked how the developers of NewtonApples took pains to make this game educational through the random insertions of physics facts related to the falling apples that appear throughout as if Sir Issac Newton dreamed them up. This not only adds a little interesting twist to the game, but also imparts valuable knowledge to younger players.

With that said, NewtonApples will apply to both young and old players alike. Do not be fooled by its overly simplistic style of play. There is a more than meets the eye.

A free app, I definitely recommend NewtonApples for download.

Quick Take

Value:High.

Would I Buy Again:Yes.

Learning Curve:Simple.

Who Is It For:Casual gamers.

What I Like:The visual effects of the game as well as the ease of play while not making the game entirely easy to the extent of being boring.

What I Don't Like:N.A.

Final Statement:Who knew apples had so much to them?

Read the Developer's Notes:
Go back in time and witness history in action right in front of your eyes when Newton first discovered the 3 laws of motion and gravity. Now this is not your average game nor is it an education app, it’s a fast arcade style game where you have to protect Newton from the apple tree whose evil intentions are to wake Newton up from his sleep by dropping apples and other elements on him. Now how about them apples?
