Developer's Notes:

Welcome to Castle Conflict, the game that puts you right in the middle of a miniature territorial skirmish-- tear down the enemy castle before they can do the same to you! With the help of some medieval scientists, you have the power of soldiers, woodcutters, thieves, cavalry, cannons, knights, bombers, and blimps to defeat your opponent! Will you crush them by dominating the ground and controlling natural resources? Or will you use the power of flight to rise above them and cut them down? With an easy difficulty curve but deep strategy, castle conflict raises the bar for fans of miniature castles everywhere. Whether you are looking for a quick challenge against an easy opponent, or a fight to the death against an AI warlord with god-like intelligence, Castle Conflict has what you want! Features include:-Configurable settings let you shape the game experience to match your own style of play-

Our Review:

There are several "larger" types of resource management games, from Warcraft to StarCarft and everywhere in between.

Castle conflict is the 'lighter' version of those.  It's fun, simple, and good to play when you don't feel like playing somethign so 'heavy'.

The premise is to manage resource to create items (knights, warriors, thieves, cannons) so you can attack the "red" castle.  When you knock down all of the red castle's "power" you've won.

Certainly not the most strategy intensive, nor the most aggressive game.  But it fits that niche where you just want something "easy" to play to pass some time.

The biggest downside I've found is that to master the first few screens took me about 5 minutes.  As the game progresses though it does get a bit more interesting since you can send air attacks, troops on horses, etc.  But with the same basic layout for the game, its really more of a quick time passer than anything you can seriously get into.

Quick Take
Value: Medium
Would I Buy Again:  Maybe
Learning Curve: Pretty easy--plus the onscreen help is always available
Who Is It For: Casual gamers, and people needing a quick gaming fix
What I Like: It's fun--but not too intense
What I Don’t:  Upgrades or the ablity modify the game play a bit.

Final Statement:  It's a fun app to play--especially when you just need to pass a few minutes (like at a gas station or waiting in line)
