What is your favorite rhythm game for iOS? Tap Tap Revenge? Why is that? Is it because it’s the only decent rhythm game? Well, not any more.
Unlike good old Tap Tap, Groove Coaster is a different kind of game. It doesn’t simply bring Guitar Hero to the touchscreen, but it brings you to the music. Incredible graphics and great music make this game truly immersing.
The game is named for its roller coaster-like track which you follow, tapping the screen whenever you meet a little dot, which represents a beat. The coaster has many twists and turns, along with moving backgrounds, which can sometimes be distracting. So you’ll have to keep a sharp eye out for these dots if you want to keep your combo going and get the best possible score.
You will surely improve your skills and look to beat previous high scores. If you do need a little help with this, though, you can in-app purchase cheats (or help, if that’s what you want to call it). I’m not a big fan of in-app purchasing, but this is nice to have available.
If you do enjoy tapping to the beat, Groove Coaster is the game for you. With original gameplay, along with a bit of a challenge, it’s hard to believe that this game costs less than a typical song.
