User Rating:Scoops is the exactly what you want out of $1 iPhone game. It’s a simple concept, it looks good, and it’s a whole lot of fun. It’s one of those games you can pick up for a minute or play for a half hour and beyond.
The premise of the game is to stack an ice cream cone as high as possible, while simultaneously avoiding vegetable that are vying for a spot on your cone. The cone is controlled by tilting the iPhone, which works perfectly in this game. Screenshots just cannot do this game justice. It’s just a lot of fun to play.
The graphics are very simple and colorful, and matches the tone of the game perfectly. The sound effects are spot on as well, though the lack of in-game music may be a turn off to some. Overall, though, I think Scoops has a great presentation.
There is only one game mode and only local high scores are stored. However, I haven’t got bored with its novelty yet so the replay value isn’t much of a downer.
Overall, Scoops is a fun title that’s easy on the iTunes account.
