Solitaire --the ubiquitous game found on almost all Windows computer. It is the comfort food of games. The friend that's always up for a little fun when you want to goof off.
Bored at work? How about some Solitaire? Looking for a game to blow just a little bit of time? Solitaire again! My father uses Solitaire as a bench mark for testing the speed of his PC by timing how long it takes to bounce all the cards off the screen!
While browing the "Top 50 Paid Apps" list, I was amazed to see Solitaire up there (currently at number 34).
What could an iphone app offer that would make this better than so many other games out there? I had to find out.
And so I gave it a try.

The controls are nice--even though the cards are small, my big clumsy fingers had no problem moving them around the screen.
Being able to customise your background as well as the design on the back of your cards was nice too.
The game play is what you would expect, just like any other Solitaire game I've played before.
Overall, there wasn't anything "amazing" and "new", it was more like visiting with an old friend.
It definately makes good use of the iPhone's display, and no space is lost, which makes this game so easy to control.
I guess lots of people now have the portable time waster, I wonder how far up the popularity scale this one will go!?
