The sheep and the wolf–it’s a classic conflict; and Saving Private Sheep builds on that conflict.

You are in control of Private Sheep–you must get him to safely land on the platform as quickly and in as few moves as possible.  If private sheep falls off the wolf will get him.  If you take too long to solve the puzzle, you may have to do it again.

The graphics and interface are well done, the actions are smooth and the controls work well.  The animated wolf popping up every now and then always made me chuckle.

In many respects, Saving Private Sheep reminds me of Tiki Totems Premium in that in order to solve the level, you need to tap on the pieces to remove them; with various types of blocks that each have their own special attribute. (For example, certain blocks can’t be removed, while others can.)

Each level is ever so slightly more complicated than the one before it—the difference is so slight, you might wonder if there’s any change in difficulty whatsoever.  And while some people see the gradual increase in difficulty as a plus, I thought that it dragged out the pacing of the game and made it boring.

Saving Private Sheep is good, but unless you are really into this type of puzzle game, you might not play it often.

Quick Take

Value:Medium--it's a "good" game, but the pacing and game play get a bit monotonous

Would I Buy Again:Nah--after playing the game a little, I think I'm done with it

Learning Curve:Very little. The instructions along the way really help show how to work the game

Who Is It For:People that like puzzle games (such as Tiki Totems Premium)

What I Like:The graphics and incidentals keep the game light hearted

What I Don't Like:Game play gets a bit boring

Final Statement:Saving Private Sheep is fun, but it would be more fun with better pacing.

The War of the Sheep

General call-up (speech given by General Sheepard through the microphone of the B.B.Sheep)

The war between wolves and sheep is raging.

The wolves’ territory is expanding from one day to the next, encroaching on our green pastures.

We must fight these bloody baaarbarians if we want to graze again in peace!

We will show the enemy that we are not lambs and that we will not be led to the slaughter in silence.

It is time to launch operation “Iron Wool”!

Help the woollen warrior conquer enemy territory by leading it into the secure zone.

To do this, you will need just one weapon: your finger!

Destroy the obstacles in the surrounding area to enable the sheep to achieve its objective in total safety.

Increasingly complex structures and special blocks (indestructible, explosive etc.) coming in a variety of shapes and with different actions will make your mission harder.

Saving Private Sheep offers accessible gameplay for any player, thanks to the progressive difficulty which is perfectly paced over more than 80 levels.

Combine logic, dexterity and strategy to achieve victory!

Will you manage to unlock the bonus levels, win the medals and achieve ultimate success in the game?

Features:

- Easy gameplay

- Gradual increase in difficulty

- More than 80 levels

- Numerous elements available to unlock (levels, medals, success)

- World rankings via OpenFeint
