It seems that any game involving stick men on a graph paper background is destined to be a hit on the App Store. The recent infinity runner Doodle Sprint did it, and now Stick Cliff Diving has arrived to really drive the point home.

As a stick-man game should be, Cliff Diving is very simple. You are a man on the edge of a cliff, and you jump off of increasingly high heights into the water below. Before each jump, you’re set a score and type of jump to perform. Be that a normal head-first dive, or a 2.5 backflip.

Depending on how close your dive is to that in your target, you get better or worse scores from the 5 judges. The controls are very simple, tap in the left corner to jump, then hold in the right corner to scrunch your man into a ball and begin flipping!

Cliff Diving is mostly a game of timing, as you have to be pretty meticulous in your dives to get past the strict judges. If you do your flips successfully but land with a belly flop, expect to receive 2’s and 1’s out of 10. The game doesn’t take any prisoners.

Stick Cliff Diving is addictive, minimal fun. Beneath its simple gameplay, it’s actually a tough game to master, as it doesn’t give a lot of leeway for minor errors. Yet another game that verifies the theory that all games containing stickmen are great fun.
