Adult Swim does it again with another game that combines fun with a humorous plot. In Super Mole Escape, you’re a mole who has apparently committed a crime and wish to escape (in the beginning, you can choose between Marty or Matilda). Being a mole, you can burrow your way to freedom. You can control which way your burrow depending on how you tilt the device. You can also pick up gems or devices that can help you burrow faster. Naturally, if you get caught by the police that are pursuing you, you’re busted.
If you get caught, you could try to escape by spinning the Judgement Wheel at the end. It’s possible you could get off for good behavior.
It’s a simple and fun game to play that is very easy to learn. In fact, the best part of the game is how insanely simple it is to use. You either tilt right or left to control the direction of the escaping mole. There is a setting that can change the tilt to a swipe if you prefer to play that way. You can also play multi-player using Game Center.
It’s such a simple game that it’s difficult to find anything wrong with it. You’re even presented with different challenges as you play to keep things interesting (dig 500 feet without being hurt and that sort of thing).
For 99 cents, Super Mole Escape is quite the bargain. For additional money, you can buy optional upgrades such as new characters or power-ups. Well done, Adult Swim.
