Did someone say missile command? Nope… Well… maybe sort-of…
Surface To Air Mayhem is the same basic concept as missile command with a few major differences…
The graphics are much better (20 years of updated technology has a way of doing that).
The use of touch to send your attacks to exactly the position you want is very intuitive and easy.
The ability to get upgrades along the way from level to level is great.
And, my favorite feature?
Running out of ammo can be quickly remedied by shaking your iPhone and getting into "Mayhem" for a quick refill.
The game play is smooth, and lots of fun. With the addition of new plane and missle types, and the increased action from level to level, this version of a great classic concept is now even more entertaining.
The only thing i would love to see is the ability to continue from where i left off. If i get a call or go back to my home screen, i have to start all over again. And, If I die, well, no way to continue from where you left off either.
With over 60 levels, I imagine, not being able to take a break and come back later is a bit daunting.
