I had never heard about Swordigo before I saw it rising the charts as a free app. Usually I check everything that could catch my attention, so this was pretty odd: Swordigo can easily catch my attention. Since it was free there was no reason holding me back from trying… So I downloaded Swordigo to my iPod Touch just before I had to take the train. Swordigo is a universal app, so when I came back home, I had it in my iPad as well.

Swordigo is a classic platformer, with a slight twist of RPG. You are a young apprentice… With the burden of finding the mighty weapon that will free your world. I guess you’ve already heard a story like this!

Well, the game is catchy. There are spells, there are powerups for your weapons, smooth animations and clear and sharp graphics. A beautiful atmosphere and a challenging gameplay. All in all this is probably one of the best games I’ve seen free lately. Download it, play it, let us know if you disagree and why.

Quick Take

Value:High

Would I Buy Again:Sure

Learning Curve:Very short, the game starts slowly

Who Is It For:Mobile gamers, anyone

What I Like:The smoothness of control and animations

What I Don't Like:Can't think of anything

Final Statement:The best iOS platformer we've seen here
