Do you hate going to a friend’s party only to find you only know the guest? Would you love to meet your friends’s friends, without the hassle of spending time with the boring people? Then TurnUpp is definitely an app made for you.

TurnUpp offers a no hassle, beautifully designed chat environment where you can reach your friends’s friends, up to a 3rd degree of separation. So, the friends of the friends of your friends. If you have heard anything about ‘6 degrees’ then you’ll realise this is a lot of people!

TurnUpp is designed to be non-threatening and safe, preventing any contact before both parties want to have a chat. Your friends can also give you badges (stickers, in TurnUpp’s lingo) to, well, raise your reputation. You can then be known as the chill out guy or gal, or the disco lover among TurnUppers.

TurnUpp uses your contact list as well as your location to identify your party pals and your friends, to better offer people to meet. You can filter (i.e. block) who can “turn you up” or who can appear to you on a turn up. And your data is private: other people won’t know what you are up to until there is a mutual turn up between you and them (so, you can’t message people who are not already on your TurnUpp lists).

All in all, TurnUpp is a nicely designed app for meeting people. Available both on Android and iPhone, it’s worth a try for its price (free.)

Swipe up if you want to TurnUpp (go crazy) with someone and swipe down to pass. If someone also wants to TurnUpp with you, you are matched and can start a chat with them. You can also give stickers to your friends to build their social cred.
