That is a catchy name! Besides, the screenshots looked great and convinced me to get this one right away. Though things aren’t exactly as I assumed, About Love, Hate and the other ones provides a really decent puzzling experience.

As it turns out, this is the best name one could ever think for this game as Love, Hate and some other buddies are pretty much all that makes the cast. The goal of each level is to reach the Red button with either love or hate while the less special ones are here to help. Love is the guy with a flower on his head and can make others take a step towards him; while a thunder from hate guy repels them by a step. In a nutshell, the other ones can either move towards you or away from you, based on whom they interact with. And the idea is to use them help you climb ledges or to fill pits so that you can finally reach that button of life.

The earlier levels are a piece of cake but don’t let that fool you. There are 70 challenging levels ahead and they get trickier as they pass. The controls are simple and straight-forward while the undo button, switch and zoom often come in handy. However, the lack of hints or a skip option is a major left out, especially for a hardcore puzzling game like this.

No ads or in-app purchases despite being a free app is really inspiring. The animations are super cool and so is the background score.  The game has been toggling between free and paid for a long time; So, I recommend you run to the AppStore and get it for free, while you still can. [Update: Oops, too late!]

Quick Take

Value:Above average

Would I Buy Again:Not anytime soon

Learning Curve:You'll surely need to go through the tuitorial

Who Is It For:Puzzlers, of course

What I Like:Animations are great

What I Don't Like:Hints and skip level options are lacking

Final Statement:Grab it before it jumps back to a dollar
