User Rating:There is a formula for success: provide people with a lot of extras at an affordable price. People will be willing to pay for quality. All-In-1 Gamebox follows this formula. Currently, the app provides 25 games to the user for $.99, which is lower than the price of some apps which only provide a single game.
Each of the games is done with decent graphics and some care. The games themselves are pretty standard and simplistic and can be learned with minimal hassle. There’s a racing game and a fighting game and a running game and a swinging game and several shooting games. There is a running character throughout some of the games who looks like an anime ninja. The entire app even has my favorite feature of being able to play your music library in the background of the game.
Some games are better than others. I like Hired Gun and Hell Flyer (both of which use Mr. Anime Ninja) because of the slightly humorous and cartoonish presentation of the characters. If anything, it seems like the entire app was created by multiple developers who merged them at the end into All-In-1 Gamebox. This is certainly a boon for the consumer.
This app is about as close to perfect as one can get. If you like games, then you will undoubtedly find one here that you will play. My only problem with this app is the difficulty at getting to the actual games, which is the case of every multiple-apps-within-one application.
Overall, particularly if you’re a gamer or a kid who likes a games, it’s definitely worth the buck.
Quick Take
Value:High.
Would I Buy Again:Probably.
Learning Curve:Low.
Who Is It For:Gamers with multiple-personality disorders. Or kids with short attention spans.
What I Like:The selection. Each individual game has good graphics.
What I Don't Like:It takes multiple steps to get to each game, which is somewhat frustrating to me.
Final Statement:It's 25! 25! 25! apps in one. For a buck. Well worth it.
