Animation Creator HD is an app that gives you good fundamental animation, particularly for the price. As with many animation programs, you draw a picture in each first frame and the program can spit out a movie of the frames together at a variable rate (up to 24 frames per second).
This isn’t a true animation program like Flash or its ilk. There is nothing in the program that will automatically generate all points between two frames. You’re on your own in terms of that. However it is easy to duplicate a frame and alter any bits you choose. There are even “shadow lines” of other frames to simplify the lining up of movement.
Controls on the app are not as intuitive as they could be but can be mastered with practice. There is a basic help file in the app but it doesn’t explain the animation process or the program itself in any depth.
On the other hand, the program comes with some handy features for making a beginner animation such as the use of layers (up to three for each frame plus a background layer) and audio recording capability. For the price, these are nice inclusions.
If I had a wish list for this program, it would include the ability to record multiple audio tracks for an animation as well as the ability for the program to create frames dynamically between two frames (although that last piece may take more processing power than any iOS device currently has). It would also include the ability to fill shapes with color.
Overall, Animation Creator HD is a simple animation program for the beginner and is priced as such (it’s tough to argue about a lack of features when you’re only charged two bucks). Those wishing something more sophisticated may need to find another or invest in a Mac and some software.

Would I Buy Again:Possibly, but only due to the low price.

Who Is It For:Animation beginners.
What I Like:Many features.
What I Don't Like:Difficult to use. Doesn't have key features that I consider necessary for good animations.
Final Statement:Animation Creator is like an initial frame ... a good starting point.
