Want to win an iPad, Kindle, or gift card to either Amazon or Starbucks? No, I’m not going to direct you to a sketchy, fly-by-night website, but a new app called Appysnap.
Appysnap, a social kind of game involving photography missions, rewards you with points for being among the quickest to submit your photo. Some missions may not give you points, but a prize right then and there. Also, you may earn caps, which will give you special offers on various things.
The timed missions assigned can request pictures of anything from a street sign to air-guitaring friends and can show up at any time, so be sure your push notifications are enabled. Some secret missions, however, will not give a push notification.
After you receive your mission, you obviously have to take the photo. Here, photos cannot be submitted from your Camera Roll, but must be submitted from the in-app camera. This guarantees that all photos are taken after the mission is issued (and are your own pictures), but unfortunately excludes newer iPod Touch users from joining the game. (iPod Touch users can still play, but they are restricted to near-home missions due to the need for internet.)
The app is well designed, entertaining, and, most of all, fun. The game is new, and now is the best time to join. The promise of big prizes will keep you coming back for fun challenges, if not for the prizes.

Some missions reward players with prizes at random, some are only for players in your city or neighbourhood - and watch out for secret missions too!
