It was only a matter of time before somebody noticed the success of The Moron Test (99 cents in the App Store) and tried to do better by offering a similar, free game.  This does have a difference, though, and not necessarily a better one.  It’s basically an app version of one of those annoying Facebook quizzes.

The thing about this game is that it’s the same questions over and over again.  It’s always "which number do you dial in an emergency" or "which of the following animals is not a mammal".  Don’t these people have a better source of questions somewhere?  How about going to wiki or trying to come up with something more witty.  They even misspell the word "dolphin" in an answer.

By hitting a button on the lower portion of the screen, you are taken to a daily web quiz.  However, to get your score you have to input your cell phone number.

Um, excuse me?  Can one say "invasion of privacy"?  It would be easy for the application to simply display your score.  Why would it need a cell phone number to send it you?  Why waste the text message?  Answer: so they can inundate you with advertisements later or just keep record of it for future marketing projects.

Despite being free, this app is a waste of space.  If you do download and keep this app on your iPhone for any length of time, then the answer to the title question with regards to you is "yes".

Pros: some of the questions are interesting but not much.

Cons: intrusive.  Simplistic.  Waste of iPhone memory.
