The best week of my life was spent with my wife on a 50′ sailboat in the British Virgin Islands. There was nothing so beautiful as the feeling when the engines would cut out and we would be under full sail… amazing!
As we sailed from cove to cove our Captain would point out the many places where pirates like Blackbeard and Black Sam Bellamy would lay anchor. What history!
Well, it turns out that September 19th is International Talk Like A Pirate Day. Since that is… tomorrow… wat better time to take a quick look at ayePhone.
ayePhone is dumb.
Sorry, but it is. The app brings up the image of a skull and crossbones and says, "AyePhone…" Tap it and you get… "Aye Matey". Tap it again and you get "Walk the plank". Again an "Batten down the hatches". etc. etc. etc.
At $.99 ayePhone could have been in the running as a crApp App except for one thing… I showed it to my wife and she laughed. I showed it to my brother-in-law and he was rolling with laughter!!! (I showed it to my golden retriever and she ran away.)
Life is short and the laughs were well worth getting the app. And, after all, tomorrow is International Talk Like A Pirate Day!
