Ball Blaster 2, I’ve never played the prequel so I’m not going to make any comparisons. The objective of Ball Blaster 2 is simple: you control a paddle, hitting a ball into the rows of bricks above trying to break all of them. You gain power ups along the way, allowing you to shoot multiple balls into the walls and decimate them quickly. The action happens rather quickly, so your reactions will have to be fast.

The main menu can be pretty annoying. The options disappear after awhile, so you’ll have to tap around for a new game. The game attempts to add a few twists by inserting some unique levels. One of which requires you to get a certain amount of points before you destroy all the bricks, not easy if you ask me, for merely rushing through the level will get you barely half the required points.

Ball Blaster 2 has a preview toggle, allowing you to see what lies in store for you as you plow through the various levels.

I wouldn’t recommend this game if you’re of the impatient type as it takes awhile to get used to, and it can be a tad too annoying when you crush the ball with the sides of the paddle as you rush over to hit it.

Also, when you unleash a large amount of balls, the game tends to get rather tricky with you crushing the majority of said balls. It’s easy to learn but not easy to master, so be prepared to have your patience tested.

Quick Take

Value:Medium.

Would I Buy Again:No.

Learning Curve:Takes awhile to get the hang of it.

Who Is It For:Not for the impatient.

What I Like:The power ups are cool.

What I Don't Like:It can get pretty annoying after awhile.

Final Statement:Boom boom pow!

Read the Developer's Notes:
Ball Blaster 2 cranks up the action with mega powerups, massive weapons, and aggressive enemies that shoot back at you! There are multiple types of bricks to break, bonuses to achieve and game behaviors to deal with. Game action and simultaneous in-game objects is extremely high making for some truly mind blowing game action! Objectives get progressively harder though 100 levels including target scores and timed levels to beat. You can save your game at any point to try again, and trust me, you will need it! The game also includes a "kids mode" which randomly creates a new board every time and disables menus so that you or your kids can play uninterrupted.

The full game also includes the original Ball Blaster game, so you get two games in one!
