I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: customization apps are very important to me. Being able to tweak your phone to look and feel different than the standard UI is a blessing, and Beautiful Widgets Pro helps do just that. And, there are external themes you can download for the app to customize it even further.
The Good
Beautiful Widgets Pro is just that: beautiful. I love having a well drawn, full screen weather and clock widget at my disposal, but that is just one of the many widgets you can add to your home screens. You can add a WIFI-toggle widget, or battery gauge widget, as well as just a clock or just a weather widget. There are plenty of options for each widget, as well as the ability to easily download themes for most of the widgets to fit the look you are looking for. All of the included themes look smooth and improve the appearance of your home screen, but the downloadable (and free) themes look even better.
The Bad
Unfortunately, there aren’t more widgets available. I would have liked to have seen a customizable 4×1 toggle widget, but all that is currently available is a 1×1 toggle widget. A customizable favorite contacts and/or social media widgets would have been nice, also, instead of the standard ones that are included with most Android phones (they bore me). The app also is somewhat of a battery hog.
The Ugly Truth
Beautiful Widgets Pro is a great addition to customization apps on Google Play, and is sure to continue to be one of the most downloaded. It’s worth the $1.99 already, but I’d like to see more widgets added in the future.
