What with all the adult applications sneaking their way onto the App Store, the Beer Pong Challenge seems tame by comparison. But it is an adults-only application which involved me clicking "OK" on a pop-up window that asked if I was 17 or over. I’m sure that will stop the kids from playing this!
The game itself is pretty simple, there is a moving target going all around the beer pong table (which looks surprisingly like a coffee table or very low dinner table). The target moves in a very haphazard way simulating actual drunkenness. When the target moves around the cups on the table, tap the hovering ball to try and throw it at the target. If you make it into the cup, you get points.
By holding your finger down on the ball, you can follow its angle as it is thrown. You can even play other people online in this sport of champions. The cups seem to be pretty sturdy, because they’re never knocked down no matter how hard you throw the ball.
The free version of the game has advertisements running between rounds. For the paid version, which is identical but without ads, be prepared to fork over ninety-nine cents.
It’s a cute, if not simple, game. I could see adding an actual beer challenge to this pretty easily with some friends, and maybe thats where the REAL fun lies. Not to say it’s a bad game, but I can see myself getting bored with this one before too long. It’s still worth downloading for the price.
Pros: cute. Simple.
Cons: could get bored of it quickly.
