Bejeweled. The best game for the bored. I’ll admit that I have wasted countless hours playing this game on my computer, so when I saw Bejeweled in the App Store, I knew that it would be great on my iPhone. Any Bejeweled lover will love this iPhone rendition that features several interesting modes.
Bejeweled features four different modes packed into one great app. For the old-school players there is Bejeweled Classic. For those of you who have never played Bejeweled, you must switch jewels that are adjacent to each other to match three, four, or five of a kind. You advance through the levels by making a certain number of matches.
Diamond Mine mode is an interesting new mode available in the app. In this mode, part of the game area is covered with dirt. In the dirt, there are special items like gold, gems, and artifacts. In order to advance to the next level, you must clear the gems past the white line. In order to collect the special items, you must make a match next to the dirt. This new mode was an interesting addition to the Bejeweled line up and is sure to please the puzzle lovers.
If you want to relax, check out Zen mode. You can still advance through different levels, but there are some interesting customizations available to help you relax. You can change the ambient sounds to things like Ocean Surf, Crickets, and Rain Leaves. You can choose a mantra such as positive thinking, prosperity, or quit bad habits to help you focus. Last but not least, there is a setting called Breathing Modulation. Turning this setting on creates the sound of someone breathing that is supposed to help maintain your rate of breathing and help you relax.
Finally, there is Blitz mode. Although the mode is accessible through the main menu, it will only launch if you have the optional, free app called Bejeweled Blitz.
Bejeweled for iOS is a great version of the computer game. It adds three exciting modes along with the classic mode to please any gamer. At $0.99, it is definitely worth its cost. Check it out today!
