Usually, it is hard to see an application or a tool being used as much as a million times in just a single weekend but that feat doesn’t seem to be impossible for the team behind the Absinthe 2.0. This particular jailbreak tool was recently a few days ago at the Hack in the Box Security Conference. It was the first jailbreak tool made for the iOS 5.1.1 and works on a lot of different devices as well.

It seems that Absinthe 2.0 really got a huge demand because in just a single weekend, the people behind it said that more than 970,000 iOS devices were jailbroken. This is a relatively huge number and an amazing feat by the people behind it as well. There might be a few factors that had contributed to this and amongst them is its status as the first jailbreak tool. In addition to that, it worked on a lot of devices and can be used easily.

Those that worry about the warranty of the iOS devices shouldn’t do so because the warranty is easily recoverable by doing a restore process of the original iOS firmware. Suffice to say that if you have been planning to jailbreak your iOS devices, you should start with the Absinthe 2.0
