Kindle Fire HDX Displays
The Kindle Fire HDX 7-inch tablet features 1920 x 1200 pixels display resolution with 323 pixels per inch (ppi) density. The 8.9-inch version comes with screen resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels with 339 ppi. It comes with better viewing indoors and out technology.
Kindle Fire HDX Cameras
The 7 incher Amazon Kindle Fire HDX is mounted with 2.2-megapixel front camera. It comes with custom camera app to support HDR shooting and panoramas. The 8.9-inch version sports 8-megapixel rear camera and 2.2-megapixel front camera
Kindle Fire HDX Processor
Both the tablets are powered by quad-core 2.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processors, 2GB of RAM and comes with Android 4.2 fork, Fire OS 3.0. It is three times faster than the predecessors.
Kindle Fire HDX Battery
Amazon claims the 7-inch HDX battery to last for 11 hours when used and 17 hours when reading. The elder sibling is claimed to give the power duration of 12 hours and 18 hours respectively.
Kindle Fire HDX Operating System
Amazon has upgraded its operating system for the new HDX tablets. The new OS is now dubbed as Fire OS 3.0. It now also supports VPN services, remote device management and Kerberos authentication. A “Mayday” button is included beside the Home button. Clicking on it will open up a video call chat support with Amazon’s helpdesk executive. The helpdesk is 24/7 and its a great idea to get live assistance even though it is easy to use.
Also, the Fire OS 3.0 is faster to apps than the predecessors. It features new Quick Switch feature that helps in easy side swiping from one app to other without navigating to home.
Kindle Fire HDX Connectivity
Amazon claims the new tablets support fast and power Wi-Fi connectivity and it also supports the latest 4G network technology.
