Amazon Kindle Fire

It’s still fresh in our memory when Apple launch iPad in $500 starting point. After that point, many vendor are in race to give their best performance to provide more affordable tablet PC. One of the vendors is Amazon who launched Amazon Kindle Fire. Focusing on eReaders, it has been one of the most appealing Tablet with price around $200. Many people don’t expect impressive feature in Kindle Fire due to its price. But luckily, it’s showing solid look with soft back cover and 413 g weight. The overall look is more like other 7 inch conventional tablets.

With 7” IPS LCD panel, Amazon Kindle Fire give neutral color tones that provide  realistic looking. 1GHz dual-core TI OMAP4 processor with 512MB of RAM coupled with Android 2.3 Gingerbread offers decent performances on work but unfortunately it’ doesn’t feature all Google Apps and Android Market. You pick out new applications on Amazone Appstore, which are not as rich as Android Market. Using on-screen keyboard , it looks more attractive. But the absence of  GPS, Bluetooth, or any 3G cellular connection might take you back to earth and realize that it might be the “decent” features we can get from $200 tablets. With Wi-Fi and games, you can browse the internet and enjoy your time.

You will not be able to take picture of interesting object you find since Amazon Kindle Fire have no camera. The 6.54 GB of internal storage  with no microSD slot is quite far from other tablets. Its 4,400 mAh battery is able to supply a day long usage. Very optimal battery life if I can say.  Moreover, the capabilities of Kindle Fire as eReader is sufficient to give you good reading time. Overall, Amazon Kindle Fire is very appealing tablet PC with affordable price and quite “decent” features. Compared to other tablets, the price is the biggest charm of it.
