An increasing number of us get our news on the go via rss feeds, news websites etc. With each improvement, the AP Mobile News Network app makes the iPhone and iPod Touch ever-better tools for getting news on-the-go.

The AP app was available from the launch of the App Store. It provides personalize your news chosen from such areas as entertainment, sports, election coverage and finance.

It has received numerous updates since launch. Today’s update to version 1.5 is a significant upgrade that lets you…

–Refresh the content of a category on the fly with a new refresh button.

–Rate stories and see how others have rated the same story.

–Watch high resolution video over WIFI and when you are out and about watch low resolution video over EDGE.

The update also added more Business and Tech content and a new server-side search now allows you to search all available news stories for the last 30 days, not just those cached on your device.

And for ease of use, the app even remembers where you were in a list when you go navigate back from a story now.

The AP Mobile News Network app is free and is available HERE in the App Store.
