App Update – Iconic Notes

I recently had the opportunity to review the new notes app Iconic Notes.

I am sold on Evernote as a drop-site for all kinds of notes and information and have been using WriteRoom since it was first released but something about Iconic Notes grabbed me. I was surprised to find how much I like the app and I have enjoyed using it since its release.

Well, it has already received an update and I’m pretty impressed. Among the improvements-

-The app now remembers where you were one session to the next. That’s a nice time-saver and convenience.

-You can now import text files via web-sharing over a network and can do so one file at a time or by usig a zip[ed folder.

-It is now easier to rename folders and a folder containing a protected file cannot be erased.

Best of all though is this–

In my first look at the app I wrote-

The app does have some shortcomings. It does not allow landscape typing… I hope to see landscape… in a future release.

It seems I didn’t have to wait very long. The updated version includes the ability to type while the iPhone is in landscape.

Iconic Notes is still just $2.99 but the price is apparently going up soon. You can get it HERE in the app store.
