App Update: Toodledo

I’m quickly becoming a huge fan of Toodledo, the native iPhone iPod Touch app from Toodledo that works with their web-based take program.

While Appigo’s ToDo and Notebook are powerful apps that also work with Toodledo.com, Toodledo’s iPhone app is not only far less expensive ($3.99 vs $9.99), but it also offers a far greater selection of ways to organize and view tasks. For example, you can arrange by date, priority, tag, context and more.

According to the developer-

Toodledo is a powerful task manager that will help you stay organized and be more productive. You can use Toodledo as a standalone application, or you can have it seamlessly synchronize everything with Toodledo.com, one of the most popular online task managers. Toodledo is flexible enough to work with many different styles of list management. You can use the popular GTD methodology, or you can use your own system. You can keep things simple, or you can add as much complexity as you need. Keeping track of your to-do list has never been easier.

Only a few days after it was initially released, Toodledo has already received a big update. Toodledo Version 1.1…

–Adds a search functionality
–Allows you to use the magnifying glass to move the cursor in a task’s name
–Enables the "Hide Completed Tasks" filter in the "Recently Added" and "Recently Modified" views.
–syncs tasks when the iPhone goes to sleep or wakes up with Toodledo running (this is in addition to syncing tasks on quit/launch)
–Includes launch speed improvements and bug fixes.

Toodledo works amazingly well. Once the ability to dial a phone number or send an email simply by clicking on the number or email address is added (something we have been told is in the works for a future update) this will be one amazing task management app. As it stands now, however, it is already pretty great.

You can get it HERE in the App Store.
