App Update – Tooodledo

One of our readers commented on yesterday’s post about the recent update to the task app Things. The writer noted that while Things is “pretty” it is also…

“incomplete and development is painfully slow, adding minor features at a snail’s pace while we are still waiting on major ones, ones that are in the desktop app and not on iPhone yet or are simply missing.”

As frusterating as this might be, it is made even worse because…“Toodledo is improving rapidly”.

His comment concluded that as a result, Toodledo…

“….has replaced Things on my iPhone at a third of the price and without the need for a $50 Mac desktop application.”

The post could not have been any more timely.

Toodledo, the native iPhone app for synching with the web app Toodledo, was release a full week and a half ago on October 8th and has already seen a second update.

Toodledo is…

a powerful task manager that will help you stay organized and be more productive. You can use Toodledo as a standalone application, or you can have it seamlessly synchronize everything with Toodledo.com, one of the most popular online task managers.

While most of this update is an assortment of of bug fixes, it does add some functionality. Moreover, it make it even clearer that the developers are committed to do all they can to make this the premier task app for the iPhone and iPod Touch.

Among the improvements-

–a setting to control the badge number on the home screen icon.
–a setting to control what shows up in the hotlist.
–documentation inside the app to explain key concepts.
–a setting to enable manual sync instead of auto sync.
–an option to purge completed tasks to free up memory.

And more…

Now the only thing Toodledo REALLY needs is… “Clickability”!

You can get Toodledo HERE in the App Store.
