App Update: Wikipanion

Wikipanion, one of the multiple Wikipedia apps currently avalable for the iPhone/iPod Touch was updated yesterday.

As we prep the next round in our Wiki-Off, it is nice to see this new version.

This update…

–Improves page rendering, and sideways scrolling

-Improves the table of contents so it now knows where you are and highlights the appropriate section.

–Adds static links in the related browser

–Allows you to quickly access the main page and a randomly generated page.

–Preserves scroll position when the back and forward buttons are used.

–Fixed viewing of images for foreign languages.

–Includes other bug fixes as well.

How does it compare to the other Wikipedia apps? We’ll be taking a look soon.
