Apple now allowing everyone to test OS X Mavericks Beta

Today Apple decided to open their beta program for everyone. This means that part of the previously paid developer program, which allows access to Beta builds of OS X will be free to try for everyone.

Join the OS X Beta Seed Program and accept the Beta Seed and Confidentiality Agreement. Apple will provide a Beta Access Utility for your Mac, which gives you access to pre-release versions of OS X in the Mac App Store Updates panel.

Anyone with an Apple ID can install the latest Beta build. According to Apple:

When you sign up for the program here then Apple will provide a Beta Access Utility for Mac, this gives access to pre-release access to the OS X betas, these can as regularly be downloaded through the Mac App Store.
