We can’t really say this came as a surprise, earlier today Apple released an update to their line of MacBook Air Models. While the update hasn’t included anything earth shattering it did bring faster versions of Intel’s Haswell processors, and a $100 cheaper price tag.

Like mentioned the update didn’t bring anything crazy, but the 11-inch and 13-inch MacBook Air models have been bumped up to a 1.4GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 processor with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage in the low-end configurations and 256GB of storage in the top 11-inch and 13-inch models. These baseline models are configurable with built-to-order options up to a 1.7GHz dual-core Intel Core i7, 8GB of RAM, and 512GB of flash storage.

As mentioned the prices have been dropped to $899 and $999, while the high end base configurations are listed at $1,099 and $1,199.
