Apple to remove all 3G iOS devices from online store in Germany

It seems that the legal battle in Germany is anything but over for Apple. Previously it won a court order to ban the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 from the German market due to its similarity with its iPad device.  As a result, Samsung released a different version called the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1N and the German court had rejected Apple’s bid to ban the variation from the German market.

In a different story, last December, a suit was filed against Apple by Motorola which stated that the company cannot sell any 3G devices in the country as Apple breaches a patent that belongs to Motorola. Apparently, Motorola won the preliminary injunction against Apple and it seems that effective today, the company is banned from selling any 3G iOS devices in its online store in the German market. However, one device being excluded is the iPhone 4S although this may be due to the device being new and not included in the lawsuit.

This act will definitely cost the company millions as it is no longer to sell some of its best products: the iPad and some of its iPhone devices. As this is still a preliminary injunction, there are chances that this ruling will be revoked in the future.
