Camera less iPhone 4S to be made available in Singapore soon

One of the most notable features on the iPhone 4S is its excellent camera and to remove it would be to remove one of the biggest features of the device. It makes no sense to remove it unless you’re a military personnel in Singapore where it is prohibited to bring image-capturing devices into the military bases.

Removing a feature on the iPhone isn’t really a weird thing because in China, the company officially removes its Wi-Fi feature. However, for this particular iPhone 4S modification in Singapore, it is done without the consent of the Cupertino company and it would definitely void the warranty of the device as it has been tampered with.

This modification is done by the carriers themselves and as a result, the iPhone costs roughly $38 more than the standard price. However, when this is done, the customer will get a certificate stating that the camera has been removed by the carrier. Only then will the customer will be able to enter the army base if he or she works with them.

As an afterthought, it is much cheaper to do it through the carrier rather than getting a store to remove it. A normal removal through the store would run around $155 for it.
