Corning Introduces New Gorilla Glass 3

Corning is one of the few manufacturers responsible for some of the iOS products. This is because the glass panel used in the iPhone, iPad and the iPod Touch is about to get an upgrade. The maker of glass panel had recently announced the third generation of Gorilla Glass panel at CES in Las Vegas last week.

Like what we had expected, Gorilla Glass 3 comes with an improved technology. One of it is that it features a new glass composition which makes it more resistant to scratches as well as increases the strength of the glass. Furthermore, from a proprietary feature called Native Damage Resistance (NDR), it further increases the overall strength of the glass that makes it 3 times scratch resistant and up to 40% reduction in the number of visible scratches.

Gorilla Glass has been used in a lot of iOS device models although we are not sure whether Gorilla Glass 3 will be used on next generation devices. If it does, then it means a lot of good things for iOS users considering that it will use one of the best glass panels in the market. As for us, we want an unbreakable screen instead.
