crApp Apps- The “Let’s Change One Thing And Make It A New App” Edition

Every day there are dozens of new apps but only one or two REALLY worth looking at. Over 3000 apps already but there is a lot of stuff not worth the space it consumes. These apps, though, go one step better.

We’ve been through this before…

…how many tip calculators do you need?

…how many Magic8Balls?

But at least that stuff all comes from a wide variety of developers (redundant, repeticious and uncreative as they might be). When the garbage heap is made larger by the same developer over and over and over again… arrrrhg!!!!

Here is one good example (FOUR actually) that are crApps for sure…

DaysTo Anniversary…

DaysTo Anniversary is a $.99 app that…

…is the simple, easy-to-use app that gives you the instant gratification of knowing exactly how soon an important anniversary will arrive.

Simply tap "Info" to enter your anniversary date, and tap "Save" to store the information. After that, any time you open the app, you’ll immediately know how many days you have to create the anniversary you really want.

Oooooh!

But here’s the really great thing about it (at least for the developer)…

Change the word "Anniversary" to "Baby", swap out the image and for another $.99 you get…

"DaysTo Baby"

Days To Baby is

"…the simple, easy-to-use app that gives you the instant gratification of knowing exactly how soon your newest family member is expected to arrive. Simply tap "Info" to enter the expected due date, and tap "Save" to store the information. After that, any time you open the app, you’ll immediately know how many days you have until your little angel is anticipated."

Then, change the word "baby" to exam, swap out the image and for $.99 MORE you get…

"DaysTo Exam"

DaysTo Exam is…

"…is the simple, easy-to-use app that gives you the instant gratification of knowing exactly how much time stands between you and that big test you’re sweating. Simply tap "Info" to enter your exam date, and tap "Save" to store the information. After that, any time you open the app, you’ll immediately know how many days you have left to study. After you’ve aced your exam, repeat this process for the next test."

Then okay you get the picture… there is also one for Hannukah and who knows what amazing word will be added. Maybe next we’ll get… "DaysTo Tomorrow…" (And I won’t even charge you $.99 for it!!)

crApp Apps??? For Sure!

Rant Done… (at least I warned you)
