Emporia RL1

If we take a look at recently launched phone, we will see that most of them use small button or virtual keyboard for touchscreen phone. Indeed this technology give stylish and sophisticated aura for our gadget. But many people like elders will not be able to use it properly. That thing might be the reason of Vodafone to launch Emporia RL1. Solid black look with huge numeric keypad make it is easy to everyone navigating the phone. The high contrast 1.8 inch OLED display make it looks more spacious than it really is. The overall look is rather  “crude” than beautiful.Cannot blame since it seems like it is not made to be that way.

Like any other low-end phone, Emporia RL1 give the basic application like text messaging, phone calling added with alarm clock, calculator, and flashlight.Polyphonic ringtones with sufficient loud will give loud and clear sound when it is used to call. Added with in-call audio quality, this phone the sound in the headset and the loudspeaker are loud and distinct. Handsfree is also available in case that we might want to use it. For addition, the docking station for Emporia RL1 is come along with it.

With 800 mAh battery that rate 3 hours talking or 200 hours standby, Emporia RL1 is not so impressive compared to other low-end phone which can reach about 360 hours standby. Bundled around $120 contact free, Emporia RL1 is relatively expensive.  Even so, among  the phones in low-end class, Emporia RL1 is quite stand out with spacious numeric pad, huge font and good sound quality. Yet the design is far to be called attractive. If you want to give a phone for your elders, then it might be a good choice. But due to the price, you might want to look for other alternative. Well, the choice is yours.
