Evernote Update – Sort Of…

It has been a while since Evernote received an update and while we are still waiting for the promised release of an iPhone app update that adds support for saving notes on the device itself, there is SOME good news today.

According to a recent post on the Evernote Blog all of Evernote’s web-related clients (that means NOT the Mac and Windows resident apps) have been recoded and are now

"way, way faster".

That means that on both Evernote’s iPhone web and resident App browsing, searching, filtering, or loading notes will be faster than ever before.

How much faster is it? In my precise calculations I found it to be "a whole heck of a lot faster" and one comment on the Evernote website noted,

Wow! Amazing difference! It’s down from over a minute to less than 2-5 seconds.

Perhaps best of all, since all the changes are on Evernote’s servers there is no need to update the Evernote iPhone app!

Hey Evernote- Good job and thanks. But uhm… not to sound ungrateful or anything… any word on storing notes on the iPhone itself?????
