Foxconn is one of the biggest manufacturing partners of Apple for the production of the iPhone 5. However, there seems to be a problem with the device’s supplies. The main reason for this is because of the intricate of design of the iPhone 5. This means that the company needs to give more time in quality control so that they can prevent the iPhone 5 from shipping with scratches. This is a prevalent problem found in the iPhone 5.

As mentioned by an executive at Foxconn, the iPhone 5 is the toughest product that the company has ever manufactured. One of the biggest problems is to make it light and thin at the same time. In addition to that, the tougher standards also caused some internal problems in Foxconn itself. The executive had mentioned that the increase in standard had caused a clash between the workers and the quality control inspectors. Nevertheless, the productivity of the company is improving by the day.

All in all, it has yet to see whether Apple will manage to secure their end year target. By the looks of it, they might miss it due to the supply problems. Even if they do manage to roll out the iPhone to various countries, supply will be limited.
