Gibraltar and other British Empires non-existent in iPhone

What happens when you live in an island not many have heard or aware of but you are using an iPhone as your main smartphone? Well, for those that are living in Gibraltar as well as other bits of the British Empire, you’re out of luck when it comes to the iPhone because the smartphone doesn’t have some of these countries in the phone’s registry.

With this being said and done, those that are living here will not be able to write down their friend’s countries because you are allowed only a handful of well-known countries. In the case of Gibraltar, Cook Island and a few others are not known in the iPhone. While most of these countries have populations of more than 3,000 at any point of time, the less known and habited islands which are South Georgia and South Sandwich Island are available on the iPhone. Serbia does exist while Kosovo doesn’t.

In other news, it seems that suppliers are readying their chips for the next generation of iPhone. It is said that both Qualcomm and Broadcom are making sure that their factories will be able to suit the demand of the next generation iPhone although sceptics said that demand for it might not be as good. This may be due to the upgrading cycle.
