Google’s famous search app for iOS, lately got Google Now. The Mountain View-based firm just updated the app again. The edition 3.0.1 now offers fast access to information, in addition to introducing a better location tracking that helps to conserve the battery of the phone.

Unlike previously, Google Now does not always use the GPS to track the location of the phone. Instead, it uses the cell towers or even Wi-Fi within the surrounding for tracking the phone’s location. In addition, this app goes to the sleep mode if the battery gets too low or when you’re not moving around most of the time.

When the app goes to the sleep mode, it will automatically halt the location updates.

Google said it has also managed to fix some updates that the previous edition could not fix.
