iphone 6The Keynote for the new iPhone 6 should be no more than a month away, every year around the beginning of September, Apple holds a Keynote addressing the new iPhone, and this year will be no different, even if the exact date has yet to be confirmed.

So how can you kill the time waiting to get your hands on this new shiny iDevice, in this article we look at five different things you can do to kill time before the next iPhone Keynote.

1. Jailbreak your old device

Now that you know there is a new iPhone just around the corner, perhaps it is time to try Jailbreaking your old device. If you have been holding off for fear of doing something wrong, perhaps now is the time to be adventurous. Really the whole process of jailbreaking has become much easier over the past few years. If you have updated to the newest iOS then you can give the recent Pangu Jailbreak a try, otherwise the Evasion Jailbreak is also very good.

2. Make sure to make a backup of your iPhone

If you plan on migrating your data from your old iPhone to your new iPhone then you need to make sure to backup your data. While you should really always make sure to keep your data in a safe place, it is never as important as when you are trying to migrate to a new phone. You can use apps such as iTunes or Disk Aid to make a backup of your device.

3. Try and win some cash for the new iPhone

Lets be honest, buying a new iPhone can be very expensive, so why not spend the time waiting by trying to win some cash for your new purchase. There are several ways of going about this, these include playing the lottery, playing online games such as Rush Poker, or if you prefer, you can try sports betting on sites such as Unibet, Bet365 or other similar sites.

4. Sell your old iPhone

If you don’t want to keep your old phone, or you suck at gambling, then why not try and sell your old iPhone. There are several online sites that will gladly buy your old device, these sites include Gazelle, Glyde or even through Amazon. You can also sell used devices on sites such as eBay or Craigslist.

5. Abuse your old iPhone

While this last suggestion is actually meant more as a joke, why not abuse your iPhone. The internet is filled with videos of people shooting, blowing up or running over their iPhones for the amusement of others. Seriously, you might just find it fun to watch your iPhone drop from the top of a building and crash against the ground.
