The iOS 6 was announced at the same time that the iPhone was announced and today, iPhone users from all around the world will be able to get their hands on the new operating system update. While not everyone have access to it yet, those that did reported some good improvements on the iOS 6. Devices that will be getting the update include all iPhone from the 3GS onwards, the iPod Touch 4G/5G, and the iPad 3 and iPad 2. The latest version of the iOS had a lot of improvements and Apple stated that there are more than 200 new features that have been added to the iOS 6. While most of these are minor features, there are plenty of those that makes it worth the update as well. For example, the Maps application had received a lot of new features to it. You are now looking at real-time traffic information, Apple designed maps, turn-by-turn navigation amongst many others. In addition to that, Siri had also been improved and local search now includes Yelp photos, ratings and reviews as well. Facebook integration had been added to the iOS and a new application called Passbook is available with the iOS 6 as well. These are just some of the many newsworthy updates from the iOS 6.
