Rumors of a smaller iPad have always been there for a long time. New details have emerged but nevertheless, these are all rumors. It is quite interesting to have an iPad Mini because there was already a competitor which was the Kindle Fire but the Nexus 7 might be the last thing Apple needs. This is because priced at only $200, the Nexus 7 have specifications much better than the current iPad although this excludes the iPad’s Retina Display technology.

There are now rumors spawning around the display of the iPad Mini. In fact, it has gotten down to the manufacturer that will be making the display. Sharp’s IGZO Display is reported to be the choice for the new iPad mini and this report was done by Unwired. The source on which Unwired relied upon for this report was from anonymous industry sources but nevertheless, it might just be true.

In that report, it was also said that the iPad Mini might be priced around $249 to $299 without contract and this is definitely a price that a lot of people would be comfortable with. However, there is no telling how a release of a smaller iPad would affect the demand for the original. Nonetheless, what we got here are just rumors so we will have to wait for the official word by Apple.
